Over the past few months APT has been heavily represented at numerous tech transfer events in a bid to engage more heavily with industry. Members travelled to the Galway to exhibit at the IRDG Funding & Expertise for Research & Innovation seminar on the 8th of February and to the IRDG Financing & Driving Innovation event in Blanchardstown on the 17th of May. IRDG (Industry Research and Development Group) is a non-profit, business-led Innovation Network of member companies and colleges, working together to drive excellence in Innovation within Ireland’s industry to create growth, jobs and prosperity. Many of their events are aimed at encouraging and facilitating industry-academia engagement.
APT was also an exhibitor at the Research & Innovation Conference & Exhibition in Citywest on February 14th. The event brought together over 1000 leaders in research and innovation from the leading industries in Ireland as well as key government bodies, research bodies and researchers that are instrumental in creating cutting edge research and bringing that research to market. The 100+ speaker line-up over 8 stages included industry leaders from sectors such as pharma, medtech, biotech, life sciences, energy, environment, food, health, transport, chemical and ICT.
Finally, APT exhibited at the third annual DCU Business Matchmaker and Research Showcase in the Helix in on the 11th of May. The event facilitates targeted exchanges between industry and academia and encourages collaboration through access to talent and knowledge transfer.
